Karnival Pelita Raya Terengganu

(Terengganu Traditional Lamps Carnival)

The joyous celebration of lighting traditional lights will take

place in all districts during the fasting month of Ramadan.

The practice of decorating the courtyards with creative

oil lamps has long been a tradition especially in the state’s

villages. Decorations include replicas of monuments and

shapes.

Festival Ramadan Putrajaya

Tadau Ka’amatan Harvest Festival

30 - 31 May • Hongkod Koisaan, Penampang, Sabah

The month-long Harvest Festival celebration will culminate at

Hongkod Koisaan (the Kadazan Dusun Cultural Association

Centre in Penampang). This annual celebration attracts

some 5,000 visitors each year. Join the merriment as local folks

sing, dance, feast and play traditional games. The highlight

is none other than the final round of the highly anticipated

Harvest Beauty Queen pageant.
