Street art in Selangor

Selangor is no stranger to street art scene. It has been making waves in the art industry with murals that depict ancient monuments and current issues. Whenever you visit Klang, be sure to stop by at the newest “safari” in town. Named The Safari Mural, this is actually a revamped alley painted with colourful depictions of Malaysia’s adorable animals. A team effort of both local and international artists, it features a picturesque trail of flora and fauna such as parrots, owls, horses, primates and more. The depictions have enlivened the façade of the royal town.

Commonly seen in rural areas, the Warung or stall is a perfect hangout to enjoy a cup of tea or catch up with friends. The mural at Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi or BBST Walk features a typical day in a small town. Awareness messages of global warming and the negative e ects of smoking are also displayed on the state’s walls.
